with only 1 watt of power
The future of cooling is one in which energy consumption is minimal and solutions are accessible to everyone. Our device uses a novel form of extremely efficient actuation to generate airflow and only requires 1 watt of power. This can drastically reduce the amount of energy required to keep people cool, cutting carbon emissions and allowing cooling to become a lot more cost-effective.

In collaboration with Dr. Majid Taghavi at Imperial College London, we were able to utilize an Electro-ribbon actuator to produce vortex airflow. We iteratively experimented with different forms of the actuator to test the most effective shape. As a result, it is possible to create airflow with just one watt of power, replacing current energy-intensive motors.
