Keeping people cool is
warming up the planet.
There is no doubt that our planet is getting hotter and hotter, shifting entire regions into climates they are not used to or even prepared for. A lot of solutions aimed at keeping people cool usually require a lot of energy and have been reliant on massive amounts of power to create conventional forms of airflow. Usually, a lot of this energy is wasted through user behavior, unguided airflow, and complex design, eventually leading to a vicious circle where trying to keep people cool is literally warming our planet up quite drastically - a key blind-spot in today’s energy debate.
Therefore, we decided to take a fresh perspective, exploring how different forms of airflow could be utilised to keep people cool - rather than entire spaces. By offering a new experience with airflow that is precise, very efficient, and by focusing on the individual, the energy required to stay cool can be drastically reduced, helping to prevent a cold crunch.
